Have you ever wondered how to automatically post an image from your Instagram account to your Facebook Page and Twitter Feed. If you have, but you’re not sure how to, this handy little ‘how to blog’ will help you out, and you’ll be Instagraming, posting and Tweeting in lightning speed.
NB – This guide was created using my iPhone 5S but I’m pretty sure the process will be similar with whatever phone you use.
The first thing to do is create and Instagram Account. You can only post to Instagram using your mobile device so unfortunately there are no web short cuts or automated widgets. It is pretty much what it says on the tin – instant!
Instagram and Pinterest are leading the way in the digital marketing world; they are visual, contemporary and basically where the party is. Instagram has over taken Facebook with the amount of users logging in everyday and if you want your customers to find you, it’s easy – go to them!
Download the Instagram App from the app store on your phone and create an account:
Follow the on screen instructions to create your profile and send your first image. Make sure you complete as much information about your business – your web address, bio, contact details and most importantly a profile picture. This can be completed via the ‘options’ icon (white round wheel next to your user name).
Tap on ‘options’ If you are logged into Facebook and / or Twitter it may suggest you find your friends and follow them.
Scroll down to ‘Linked Accounts’ and Tap:
A list of Social Media Platforms will be on the next screen for you to choose from – I have linked mine with Facebook and Twitter. You can choose whichever platforms you would like to connect to.
It automatically defaults to my personal account and not my business page. Tap on your name (you may need to authorise the app):
Then tap on the ‘Share to Timeline (default’) to change the option:
This should show you your business page options – choose which page you would like to automate your posts too (Only one per Instagram account).
Check the radio button:
Your posts should then share to Facebook Page:
Follow the same steps as above for Twitter – log into Twitter using your Twitter Username and Password (one per Instagram account):
And that’s it – all set up and ready to post:
When you upload your image / take a photo – write your caption and don’t forget those all important #hashtags; then tap on the social media accounts your would like to share your post too.
Your image has posted on Instagram:
